Pressure Washer Parts

When using a pressure washer over time, there are a lot of parts that can become worn out and need replacing. The pressure washer parts that most often need replacing are the ones that are continuously subject to stress or movement. For example, it's not uncommon for the the connection between the water hose and the pressure washer to get worn out over time from over-use or from the hose pulling against the joint. You can buy most any pressure washer parts you may need online or at the store from which you originally purchased your pressure washer.

Before buying any pressure washer parts and doing some repair work yourself or paying for service, it's worth checking with the store that sold you the pressure washer. Particularly if your machine is less than a year old, there's a good chance that your pressure washer parts are still under warranty and may have failed due to manufacturing flaws. Your dealer should be able to help you understand the terms of your warranty and give advice on how to request parts or repairs from the manufacturer. If your pressure washer is no longer under a warranty, you may need to do repairs yourself or take it in for service.

Before buying your own pressure washer parts to do a repair yourself, understand what part of the machine needs work. If it's replacing some accessory piece of the pressure washer like a gasket or a hose, this can be fairly straightforward to do yourself. If the problem is deeper and lies in the electric motor or gas engine that compresses the water, this isn't an area you should try to work on yourself unless you have significant experience with motors and engines.

When ordering replacement pressure washer parts online, it's important to buy exactly the right style and size of pieces: many pressure washer parts look the same but may not all fit on your washer! The manual that came with your pressure washer should list the precise measurements and perhaps even the part numbers for pieces that may often need replacement like nozzles, triggers and the hose. The manual may also suggest accessories that may be helpful for your pressure washer.

Ordering replacement pressure washer parts is probably going to be cheapest online but be sure to take into account the cost of shipping and the time required to receive the parts. You can buy many pressure washer parts at your local shop, but while the price is almost certainly going to be greater than online, you also get the advice and expertise of the salesperson who can make sure you are buying the correct parts and may be able to give specific advice on how to the replacement yourself.
