Osterizer Blenders

Osterizer Blenders

Osterizer blenders are a great addition to any kitchen which is looking for a blender which performs well, lasts a long time, and is easy to clean. Oster has made blenders for many years, and continue today with a quality line of Osterizer blenders. Look at online websites to find great deals on your next blender.

A huge advantage of osterizer blenders is their power: Most household blenders are underpowered and may have trouble with difficult tasks like blending ice cubes or fruit which is completely frozen. Their manufacturers try to cover this up by having 10 or more different buttons for various complicated settings on their blenders. Oster is much more straightforward and typically offers only a low and high power setting which truly is all that you need, and allows them to use fewer parts.

Osterizer blenders are built with a classic beehive look and I believe are most attractive either in chrome stainless steel or white colors. Either will look great in virtually any kitchen and are a breeze to clean. You can choose either a glass or plastic blender jar. The glass jars are probably more attractive, but are much easier to break if you drop it on the counter or on the floor.

Be sure that you buy the ice crushing blade for your osterizer blenders in order to make sure that you can easily accomplish all the blending tasks that you ever want! Depending on how often you use your blender and what you typically blend, you may need to replace the blade every couple of years as it becomes dull. The blender itself should last years: I personally have an osterizer blender from the 1950s or 1960s that works perfectly! If you find a vintage osterizer blender at a sale, make sure the motor is still good. If it runs, buy it! You may need to replace the rubber gasket seal and perhaps get a new blade, but you've found a kitchen classic that should continue to work well for years.

There are wide variety of things you can make with osterizer blenders. The classics that everyone knows include margaritas and smoothies but there are so many more options: I like to make my crepe batter in my blender so that it's smooth and without even a single lump. Other people like to make jams and jellies in their blenders. Look around online to find the best deals on osterizer blenders!

Please see my other articles about Bosch blenders, juicer blenders, an industrial blender, cordless blenders and battery operated blenders.

I also write elsewhere about bathroom sinks and vanities.

Hi, I have a late 1950's copper Osterizer Blender in the beehive style. It has started leaking of of the bottom where the blade connects to the blender base. I love this original blade. Where can I get another one, or repair this one? Also, this is the blender that has a no-handle style glass jar for the top. Thanks.

Is the rubber seal in place?

sorry, rubber ring goes over the blade assembly before screwing the glass jar on over it. Mine was gray. Looks like a plumbing washer.
